By leaving equipment with us or requesting our services, you agree to these Terms.
2. Services
2.1 We provide computer and device repair, maintenance, and support services, including but not limited to diagnostics, hardware repair, software troubleshooting, data services, and technical advice.
2.2 The specific services to be provided will be confirmed in writing, verbally, or on a job sheet at the time of acceptance.
2.3 Estimated completion times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed.
3. Diagnostics and No-Fix Policy
3.1 Diagnostics may be chargeable. Where stated, a diagnostic fee must be paid whether or not the device is repairable.
3.2 Where advertised as “no-fix-no-fee”, this applies only if we are unable to identify or repair the reported fault. It does not apply where:
the device is beyond economical repair,
replacement parts are unavailable, or
you decline the recommended repair.
4. Customer Responsibilities
4.1 You must provide accurate information about faults and any prior attempts to repair.
4.2 You are responsible for backing up all data before leaving equipment with us. We do not accept liability for data loss, corruption, or disclosure during diagnosis or repair.
4.3 You must remove any confidential or sensitive information from your device before handover, if possible.
4.4 You must provide any passwords, encryption keys, or access codes necessary to perform the repair.
5. Parts and Warranty
5.1 Replacement parts may be new, refurbished, or third-party alternatives, unless you request otherwise in advance.
5.2 All parts and labour carry a 90-day warranty unless otherwise stated. This covers the specific repair carried out but does not cover unrelated faults or damage caused after collection.
5.3 Warranties do not apply to:
accidental damage, misuse, or neglect,
software issues, viruses, or user error,
consumables such as batteries, unless specifically guaranteed.
6. Collection and Storage
6.1 You will be notified when your repair is complete.
6.2 If you do not collect your device within 90 days of notification, we may dispose of it or sell it to recover costs, after giving reasonable notice.
6.3 We have a lien (legal right of retention) over any equipment until all charges are paid in full.
7. Fees and Payment
7.1 Charges will be agreed in advance where possible. Additional costs will be notified before work proceeds.
7.2 Payment is due upon collection unless agreed otherwise.
7.3 We accept card, bank transfer, and other methods as advertised.
7.4 All invoices are due between the 24th and 28th of the relevant month if on account.
7.5 Late payments may attract statutory interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
8. Liability
8.1 Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability which cannot be limited by law.
8.2 Subject to clause 8.1, our liability for any claim is limited to the total fees paid for the specific repair.
8.3 We are not liable for:
data loss, corruption, or disclosure,
indirect or consequential loss, including loss of business, revenue, or goodwill,
faults caused by pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or underlying issues.
9. Data Protection
9.1 We will handle any personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the UK GDPR.
9.2 Devices may be tested with sample data or diagnostic tools, but we will not intentionally access, copy, or retain your personal data unless required for the repair.
9.3 Further details are set out in our Privacy Policy, available on our website.
